The hike:
Last day of the hike, again combining two day’s from the official itinerary (Stages 8 & 9) into one. It’s the hardest day in terms of both distance and elevation gain.
There were a lot of rock hopping to cross streams in the beginning. It slowed me down quite a bit as I didn’t want to get my shoes wet.
The views were great but not as good as previous days. Or maybe I was just too tired and eager to get the whole thing done.
Arrived in Trient. That was the end of Stage 8.
After a long day (over 11 hrs), I was finally done and arrived at Tre-le-Champ where I started the hike a week ago. Chamonix was just a bus ride away.
