Wufeng Mountain in Suzhou has gained popularity and become well-known in recent years because of a hiking trail that traces the outline of China. Naturally, I thought it would be a really cool experience to do this hike myself.
To avoid the crowds, I started the hike at around 6:50 a.m. During the first couple of hours, there was no one else on the trail, and I thoroughly enjoyed the solitude, especially considering how rare that is in China.
Throughout the hike, I encountered many steep inclines and declines, but they were all manageable. There were also some interesting and adventurous sections, including ladders, rope-assisted sections, and a crossing over a log footbridge, which made the hike even more fun.

Some part of the trail was also quite scenic.

I also came across some cute little graffiti along the way

The trail was relatively easy and mostly well-marked, with ribbons tied to trees along the way. However, there were occasional forks where multiple trails were marked with ribbons, making it a little confusing to figure out which way to go, even with a trail map in hand. I was worried I might take a wrong turn and lose my way. Luckily, by referring to the trail map, I managed to stay on the right path, and everything worked out in the end.
