Alesund is known for its Art Nouveau architecture, which was built after a fire destroyed much of the city in 1904.
It was a rainy day. And other than the Art Nouveau architecture, I didn’t find anything I desperately wanted to see and/or do. So we just spent a few hours wandering around and enjoying the architecture until rain started getting heavier.













There’s a short but steep trail up to Aksla Viewpoint. The views were incredible.
