This is the first of the four waterfall hikes I did today. I had to finish all four hikes and be back by mid afternoon so I left home before 5:00am to start as early as possible.

The trail is in Thousand Oaks next to a residential neighborhood.

I started a little over 6 am. It was so early there was not a single person on the trail.

Lots of wildflowers in early June still, even though they had passed their prime.

The trail consists of two loops. The first loop was relatively flat and easy.

Near the end of the first half of the loop you could see the mountains in the distance.

There’s a teepee at the end of the short trail that connects the two loop trails.

A short descent led me to the second loop trail to Paradise Falls.

And here it is.

I hiked clockwise in the second loop. After leaving the waterfall, the trail looped back via a longer but mild ascent.

Paradise Falls from a distance.

Back to the first loop.

I hiked the first loop counterclockwise. The second half of the loop was a little longer with more elevation changes.

But there were more variations of the scenery.

I took a wrong turn here but fortunately quickly realized my mistake.

The rest of the trail was lined mostly with wildflowers, making the hike very enjoyable.

This is a great trail to hike, especially in the spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom.
