My last stop in Italy’s Puglia region. This town is said to be founded by the Greeks back in the 4th century BC and is known for it’s old town perched on a rocky cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
As usual, I was confused with parking but managed to find a space on a street behind another car in a residential area. There was no blue line so I assumed it was free.
One of the most popular and scenic spot in Polignano a Mare is Lama Monachile Beach. So I headed there first.

It was a small beach but very scenic.

Here’s a statue that’s dedicated to one of the best Italian singer, Domenico Modugno.

There’s a path under the bridge to reach the beach.

It’s a beautiful town. I walked about three miles and wish I could walk further. But I had to go to the airport to catch my flight.
