Plitvice Lakes National Park is another UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most visited national park in Croatia. It is also considered the most beautiful national park in Croatia.
It was going to rain after 11 am according to the weather forecast. We planned to hike around both the upper and lower lakes to see as much as possible. So we arrived at 7 am when the park opened and started our hike right away.
As soon as we entered the park, we were welcomed by a series of cascading waterfalls.

From the waterfall viewpoint, we hiked down into the valley, following the beautiful trail. As we were probably among the earliest visitors that day, we seemed to have the whole trail to ourselves.

There were so many breathtaking views throughout the trail.

After we left the Lower Lakes, we took the 5-minute ferry from the P2 dock across the lake to P1 and continued our hike.

After almost four hours, we returned to the park entrance. By this time, the viewpoint was crowded with tourists.

When we left, not only had it not rained, but clouds were also clearing, and the sun began to peek through. Despite rushing our visit due to the rain forecast, we were able to see everything we wanted and truly enjoyed the beautiful park.
