Krka National Park

Krka National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the top sites to visit in Croatia.

We spent a day in the park and visited some of its most popular sites.

Skradinski buk Waterfall

This is the most famous and popular site within Krka National Park. From the Lozovac entrance, you can reach it either by taking a short, free park bus ride or by hiking downhill. We opted for the bus to save time. Upon arrival, an easy loop trail guides you through several beautiful waterfalls and lakes/ponds.

Vidikovac Krnići Gornji

It took us a while to locate this viewpoint. There didn’t appear to be any designated parking for the trail, so we parked on the side of the narrow road and hiked to the “viewpoint” using Google Maps, only to find nothing. On our way back, we noticed a side trail and decided to give it a try. Fortunately, we discovered a photo spot with a nice view. I’m not sure if it was the official viewpoint, but it worked for us.

Ogrlice and Roski Waterfalls (includes Oziđana pećina cave)

Roški slap is the 6th waterfall on the Krka River and next in popularity to skradinski buk

The hike (Roški slap trail):

The cave itself wasn’t very impressive, but the climb and the views along the way more than made up for it.

On the other side of the car park, there’s a separate trail that leads to a dock offering a view of Roski Waterfall. However, we could only see the waterfall from a distance.

Manojlovac Waterfall (Manojlovački slapovi)

We passed through some ruins on our way.

The last section of the trail that leads to the bottom of the waterfall required ropes which was quite fun.

We even saw a green lizard on the trail.

Bilušića Buk

We saw two forks of trails at the end.

The first one led to a viewpoint at the bottom of the waterfall.

We took the second fork afterwards but it became a little sketchy so we decided not to finish it as we already saw the waterfall earlier.
