Keukenhof is one of the world’s largest flower gardens, opening to the public only eight weeks every year, usually from mid-March to mid-May, when tulips are blooming. It had been on my bucket list for many years. I was finally ready to cross that off.
I arrived at around 8:00 am. There were already tons of people, many of them from tour groups.

With a pre-booked ticket, I was able to enter the garden without delay. I wanted to start exploring before the crowds got thicker.

But there were lots of people near the entrance inside the garden.

Fortunately, as I walked further into the garden, the crowds started to thin out a little.

The flowers were just spectacular everywhere.

I spent about two hours in the garden, walking at a brisk pace for a total of 4.4 miles, trying to cover as much area as I could. As it was getting a lot more crowded, I decided it was time for me to leave.
