I had initially planned to do another hike after tackling Untersberg Dopplersteig but was concerned that the cloudy weather might make it a disappointment. Instead, I checked the map for nearby attractions and came across Schloss Hellbrunn.
Schloss Hellbrunn was constructed between 1613 and 1619 by the Archbishop of Salzburg Markus Sitticus as a summer residence and a place to entertain guests. It’s a very nice palace surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Having visited numerous palaces around the world, I wasn’t particularly interested in exploring the interior of Hellbrunn Palace. Instead, I chose to spend my time wandering through its freely accessible gardens.
The gardens are known for their meticulously manicured landscapes …

I especially loved the dahlia garden, where a varieties of dahlias were in full bloom.

The sculptures also added to the charm of the garden.

One of the most distinctive features of the gardens is the famous trick fountains, an elaborate water system designed to surprise and entertain visitors with hidden jets and playful water displays. The gardens also features the iconic gazebo from The Sound of Music, which I also planned to check out. However, I became so immersed in exploring the gardens that I completely forgot about it 😂.

Despite the features that I accidentally missed, I thoroughly enjoyed spending a couple of hours strolling through the lush landscapes and admiring the beautiful gardens.
