Admont Abbey Library is one of the most beautiful libraries and the largest monastic library in the world. Built in the Baroque style in the 18th century, it features stunning frescoes on the ceiling and an impressive collection of around 70,000 volumes spanning a wide range of subjects.
The library is open to the public but with limited hours. Since it was closing at 3:30 pm today, we rushed through our morning itinerary at Lake Bled and made it to the library at 3 pm. However, it took us a while for find the actual library as there was no clear sign indicating its exact location. Fortunately, with only about 10 minutes left, we still managed to tour the beautiful library.
