Lago di Braies (Also known as Lake Braies and Pragser Wildsee) is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the Dolomites. Due to its popularity, parking could be hard to find later in the day. So I decided to visit the lake first thing in the morning. I headed to the lake a little after 5 am.
I was surprised to see a few people already at the lake when I arrived. It was so early that sunlight had not reached the lake yet. So the blue color of the lake wasn’t as rich as expected. But it was still pretty spectacular.
It took me a little over an hour to walk around the lake. There were short sections of mild inclines/declines but overall the trail was pretty easy. I was able to get back to my hotel at 7 am when breakfast started.
