While going on a short trip to Vegas, I decided to do a few hikes in Lake Mead area.
The first trail I did was Gold Strike Hot Springs Trail. It’s near Boulder City and generally considered a challenging route due to some scrambling, sometimes with ropes. It sounded like a great adventure so I was really looking forward to it.
Parking was free but very limited.
From the trailhead, we started going down into the canyon.
Here’s where the fun begain.
There were supposed to be nine ropes. But I lost count after a while. Here are some of them.
And lots of scrambling too.
After reaching the Colorado River, we turned back and climbed those ropes out of the canyon.
It was a fun hike!
