Étretat is a town in north coast of France with white cliffs and natural arches.

I arrived very early to make sure I could find parking easily.

There were indeed plenty of parking spaces. But I couldn’t figure out how to pay because the machine was all in French. Somehow I managed to get charged and had a parking ticket printed without knowing how much the charge was. I’d worry about that later.

Since it was very early, it was very quiet and I hardly saw anyone.

The trail was very easy to follow along the cliff.

There are many rock formations and natural arches along the way.

It didn’t take long to finish the hike. By the time I finished, the town was still relatively quiet.

Since I had less than half a tank of gas left, I decided to fill it up just in case.

There was a long line at the first gas station. I was happy because that meant it had gas. But when it was finally my turn, I found out that they were only selling diesel. No luck for me.

The second gas station Google Map took me too again had no gas.

The third gas station also had lines. When it was finally my turn, the driver yelled at me when I was trying to figure out how to pay for gas as there was no card reader. I had no idea what he was saying and asked if he spoke English. He said no. He then came out of his car and with lots of gestures, showed me the sign on the gas pump. I finally realized that the gas station here only had diesel fuel which meant I had to look for another one.

The forth gas station again had long lines. I anxiously waited in line not knowing what to expect. Fortunately, they had unleaded gas and I was finally able to fill the tank full.
