When we were working on our itinerary for the cruise trip, we decided to extend our stay for two more nights so we’d have more time to explore Bergen and the surrounding area.
After we disembarked, we went to the airport to pick up our rental car and started our sightseeing with our parents.
Our first stop was Tvindefossen. On the way there, we passed one lake/pond after another with beautiful reflections.

Tvindefossen.

The restroom at Tvindefossen wasn’t free. This was the first time I saw a public restroom that accepts credit card payments.

But the restroom at our next stop was free.

Not only was it free, but it also had a view!

On our way back, we stopped by at a lake in the town of Vossevangen.

We dropped off our parents at their hotel in Bergen after that. My sister and I planned to do the Trolltunga hike next day and it was a 3 1/2 hr drive/ferry ride away. We wanted to be able to get to the nearby town before dark to spend the night so we could start the hike early.
On our way there, we passed by lots of beautiful waterfalls.

The drive itself was also very scenic.

My sister and I spent the night in Tyssedal and did the Trolltunga hike the next morning. It took us six hours. Then another three and a half hours back to Bergen.
We made it back before dark and spent the rest of the day wandering in the city.

My sister wanted to try this shrimp sandwich at Fish Market. It was delicious but the shrimp kept falling off 😂.
