The hike:
Today’s hike was easy. Not only was it short, but also most of the trail was FLAT! It was a beautiful hike with waterfalls, incredible views, and lots of wildflowers.
Enjoy the pics.

I finished the hike at around 1:30pm, approx. 2 hrs earlier than expected. After the last few days, I was more used to my backpack which also became lighter as I unloaded some of the food and used clothing.
Two days ago, another hiker (I found out later that he was a gardener from London) happened to walk by as I was struggling to put on my rain poncho (another item I was going to throw away) during the thunderstorm. He stopped to help me. Since we were headed in the same direction, we hiked together after that. When the wind became increasingly strong, he suggested that I walk behind him so he could block some of the wind for me. What a true gentleman!
We parted ways after we arrived at the refuge I was staying at. But we ran into each other again today. He saw me from a distance and came to say hi. So we then hiked together again. He walked at a brisk pace. I didn’t want to show my weakness so I struggled to keep up. This is probably another reason why I was able to finish the hike early today. I guess I still had some potential if there was enough motivation 😂.
