This hike had been on my bucket list for years. But it was hard to find the right time to go. It’s usually too hot in summer or too cold in winter. And permit was required which was usually sold out in advance. But without knowing the weather ahead of time, it was risky to get the permit too early. I was finally able to get two permits for me and my sister when the weather was not too extreme.
We arrived at the trailhead as soon as it opened.
The first part of the hike was on dry land.
Once we reached the canyon, the hike was in the creek and the water was extremely cold even in September but the waterfalls were beautiful. There were also three ladders to climb throughout the hike and it was a lot of fun.
