Our Portugal trip started in Albufeira in Portugal’s Algarve region.
We arrived in Lisbon early in the morning, picked up our rental car, and headed to Albufeira right away.
On our way there, we passed many electricity towers full of stork nests.
After over two hours of driving, we arrived in Albufeira. Parking was free.
We spent some time wandering on the streets.
It’s a picturesque coastal city with a beautiful beach (Fisherman’s Beach).
The Old Town is the historic center of Albufeira, with cobbled streets, whitewashed buildings, and lots of tourists.
Monumento aos Pescadores
We stopped by Pau da Bandeira viewpoint for a view of the whole city.
We then went to Marina de Albufeira. The marina is lined with pastel-colored buildings which makes the area very colorful.
After spending a couple of hours exploring the city, we were happy to be on our way to our next destination.
